COURSE INTRODUCTION
At Korrnell, students learn a great variety of subjects and concepts all in English. English can be quite difficult for some children, however, our ELL After-School Program aims to support students who need more practice and are willing to learn more.
Instead of looking for a cram school or looking for an expensive tutor, you should consider joining the ELL After-School Program,as it is a better way to save both time and money.
The classes run daily from 5pm to 6pm. We follow the school syllabus and focus on social studies, science,grammar, and reading. We target the areas that students are having trouble with. This can include reintroducing vocabulary, reviewing certain concepts, and providing review resources and materials.

Social Studies (G1, G2)
Our program is designed to engage and challenge students through interactive lessons and hands-on activities. We cover a range of topics, from ancient civilizations to current events, and strive to make learning about the world around us enjoyable and meaningful. Not only will your child learn about social studies, but they will also develop critical thinking skills and become more active and informed members of their community. Science (G1, G2, G3, G4)
Students polish their conceptual skills learnt in Science at school. They also get to practice more for the learned vocabulary and concepts, and perform inquiries at school. Various interesting activities will be used to improve students’ understanding of the concepts.
Grammar (G1, G2)
Grammar lessons are important for the learning and development of elementary children. We help them to improve their overall language skills, including their reading and writing abilities. Good grammar skills are essential for effective communication, and it can also improve children's confidence and performance in school. By providing remedial grammar lessons, ELL teachers can help children to better understand and use the rules of language, which is an important foundation for future learning.
Reading (G1, G2, G3, G4)
In this class students focus on discussing and understanding what they are reading, not just pronouncing the words correctly but answer all reading related questions completely, while increasing your reading skills and understanding the meaning of all those difficult vocabulary words.
Conversation (G1, G2)
This lesson focuses on students' speaking skills and conversational practice. It incorporates daily life scenarios, allowing students to simulate and think about how to respond while practicing speaking. The lesson also emphasizes pronunciation, intonation, and appropriate responses in different situations. In addition to helping children overcome their fear of speaking English, it aims to teach them social skills.
Writing (G3, G4)
This course focuses on developing students' writing skills through various formats. Students will learn to write essays that analyze and evaluate information to explain a topic or process step by step. They will also practice crafting first-person narratives with a clear beginning, middle, and end, enhancing their storytelling abilities.

週末課程為雙語教學並由外師指導，透過才藝課程的體驗也同時可以增強英文基礎和體驗歐美的運動文化。
